Feisol is a relatively new tripod manufacturer in Taiwan. In 2007 I was able to field test many of their products and was suitably impressed by the quality and their price. In fact I was so impressed that when I need a lightweight tripod I use my 3442 with either the CB30 or CB50 ballhead.

Since 2007 Feisol has been improving their tripods and I now stock four different models.

The large Feisol 3472 tripod is very similar to the old Gitzo 1348 model (my main tripod) but the 3472 is a fraction of the price! This is a brand new design and incredibly light and stiff.

The new Feisol 3472LV is the same as the 3472 but adds a removal levelling base with central column. When the levelling base is removed it is the same weight (1.78kg) as the 3472. Therefore, you get a very tall and versatile tripod without much extra cost.

The CT3442 and CT3401 are very similar. The difference is that the CT3442 uses a different type of carbon fibre tube construction which makes it stronger, lighter and taller than the CT3401 but also more expensive.
